THROTTLE CURVE & PITCH CURVE
USING A WALKERA V400D02 / EXCEED XH400 / CENTURY NEON BLAZE SE
PROGRAMMING USING VARIOUS TX (WK-2603 / WK-2801 PRO / DEVO 12S)
(NOT FOR USE WITH ANY FIXED PITCHED (FP) R/C HELICOPTER)

OVERVIEW OF A PITCH CURVE AND THROTTLE CURVE:

FIRST, FIXED PITCHED R/C HELICOPTERS DO NOT NEED THEIR PITCH CURVES PROGRAMMED AS THE BLADES ARE FIXED AT A PREDEFINED PITCH BY
THE MANUFACTURER.  THE THROTTLE CURVE IS ALSO LINEAR.  HENCE, FIXED PITCH (FP) R/C HELICOPTERS DO NOT NEED PROGRAMMING FOR THEIR
PITCH CURVE OR THROTTLE CURVE.  THE 4-CHANNEL TRANSMITTER IS ALSO SIMPLISTIC IN NATURE COMPARED TO A 6-CHANNEL OR HIGHER
TRANSMITTER.

PROGRAMMING A 6-CHANNEL OR HIGHER TRANSMITTER CAN SOMETIMES BE VERY CONFUSING WHEN PROGRAMMING YOUR TRANSMITTER TO WORK
PROPERLY WITH YOUR COLLECTIVE PITCHED (CP) R/C HELICOPTER.  NEWBIES WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY BE FUSTRATED WHEN PROGRAMMING FOR A
COLLECTIVE PITCHED (CP) R/C HELICOPTER AS IT INVOLVES MORE WORK AND TIME CALIBRATING.  FOR THE MOST PART, ANY COLLECTIVE PITCHED
(CP) R/C HELICOPTER UTILIZES THREE CYCLIC SERVOS TO CONTROL THE PITCH OF THE BLADES.  THESE ALLOW FOR THE R/C HELICOPTER TO FLY
UP WHEN YOU THROTTLE.  IT ALSO ALLOWS FOR THE R/C HELICOPTER TO FLY INVERTED AS THE PITCH OF THE R/C HELICOPTER CAN BE NEGATIVE.  
THIS IS UNLIKE THE FIXED PITCHED (FP) HELICOPTER IN WHICH THE BLADES ARE FIXED AT A CERTAIN DEGREE OR ANGLE THAT CANNOT BE
CHANGED.  TYPICALLY, A COLLECTIVE PITCHED (CP) R/C HELICOPTER CAN HANDLE HIGHER WIND CONDITIONS THAN A FIXED PITCHED R/C
HELICOPTER AS THE PITCH IS VARIABLE.

OTHER THAN THE
PITCH CURVE, THE OTHER VARIABLE IN COLLECTIVE PITCHED (CP) R/C HELICOPTERS IS THE THROTTLE CURVE.  THE THROTTLE
CURVE COINCIDES WITH THE PITCH CURVE WHICH CAN BE CHANGED TO TAILOR YOUR FLYING HABITS.  EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT PREFERENCES.  
SOME TRANSMITTERS ALLOW FOR COMPLETE TAILORING OF THE PITCH AND THROTTLE THRU POINTS.  THESE  PITCH POINTS AND THROTTLE POINTS
COINCIDE WITH PERCENTAGES FROM 0% TO 100%.  SOME TRASMITTERS HAVE 5 POINTS (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) AND SOME HIGH END HAVE UPTO
10 POINTS.  OLDER LOW END TRANSMITTERS ONLY ALLOW FOR LINEAR PITCH CURVES AND THROTTLE CURVES WHICH DIDN'T ALLOW FOR TAILORING.
